The scientometric indices provided by the faculty members in this system include the GH scientometric index, the number of articles indexed by each faculty member in the Scopus & Web of Science database, and the total number of citations received by these articles in the Scopus & Web of Science database. Average citation per article, h-Index, h-Index without self-citation, h-Index without authors' self-citation, and other indices such as g-Index and m-Index are based on the Scopus database.
The information of each person in the system is automatically updated at least once every 30 days. Of course, this number varies between 1 and 30 days based on the h-Index value of the person.
The GH-index scientometric system works based on Scopus & Web of Science databases, and the information and scientometric indices it extracts and displays are based solely on the data available in these two databases. As a result, it is expected that only non-repeated articles that you have in the Scopus & Web of Science database will be calculated and displayed in this system. Although the number of your articles in other databases including PubMed and even articles retrieved in Google Scholar are also extracted and shown in the system, the main scientific index of the system is based on the Scopus & Web of Science databases, such as the GH-Index.
In the GH-index system of academic faculty members, scientific indicators based on citations are calculated and presented. Since the PubMed database is not a citation database and cannot calculate and provide citations, it can not be used as the basis for the extraction of this system. The reason for choosing the Scopus database compared to ISI in this system is the broader coverage of journals in the Scopus database, which includes more journals and articles compared to ISI.
Your articles may have been placed in the Scopus database, in the Affiliation groups, or the articles of your name and surname. In other words, your articles may not be included in a single profile in Scopus. Since this system automatically collects your scientific information from the profile that covers most of your articles, your articles placed in other affiliation groups or the written forms of your name and surname are not calculated in it. For this purpose, it is necessary to merge your multiple profiles in the Scopus database.
To do this, you can get help from your university department or search for various articles of your name through the Author Search option, and then by selecting them and clicking on the Request to Merge Authors button, you can request to merge your multiple profiles for Submit Scopus. After reviewing the request and if it is approved, your different profiles will be integrated with Scopus, and the values of your scientific metrics will be modified and updated in the GH-index system within a maximum of one month.
No, after merging multiple profiles and integrating them in Scopus, the GH-index system automatically extracts your new information from Scopus and replaces the previous information in the system, and updates it within a maximum of one month.
If you are an orthodontic faculty and your name is not yet on our website, please fill in and submit Join Form. Your request will be reviewed and a profile will be created if the application qualifies. Adding faculty members from other majors and unaffiliated researchers to the system will be provided in the future.
1) On the main page of the site, go to the login section and click on Academic IDs. Then edit your information and click on save.
2) Click on your name to open your profile window. At the top right, click the blue Request Corrections button. On this page, first, enter your details and then submit your request in the message text section. Write down the defects or errors and the correct form in this section and click the send button.
After reviewing your request and if approved, your information will be corrected in the GH-index system within a maximum of 3 working days.

Currently, the coverage of this system is related to faculty members and does not include non-faculty researchers. But in the future, we will make it possible for all researchers to join the system.
Yes, the information of those academic faculty members who have achieved the honor of retirement after the launch of this system, i.e. from 2023 onwards, is available in this system.
By default, the arrangement of profiles in the system is based on their GH-Index. If you wish, by clicking on the blue arrows at the top of the columns, you can change the order of people in the system based on first and last name, H-index, G-index, articles, citations, and citations per paper.
You can use the GH-index system search engine to search and retrieve the person(s) you want. By entering the person's name or by selecting any of the options of university, research center, academic rank, field, and degree, you can view the information of the person or persons you want.
These buttons allow you to see the citation indexes of academic faculty members in the Scopus database, regardless of the individual's citations or their citations in books. The values of the scientometric indicators of the system, by removing self-citation, are logically lower or equal to the scientometric indicators in the normal state.
Yes, if you are a faculty member of the university, you can enter the GH-index system by submitting Join Form. After that, you will be able to edit your personal information from your user panel.
If your profile is registered in the system, even if you have forgotten your password, you can enter the site. For this purpose, it is necessary to use the forgotten password option after clicking on the Member login option. After that, in the opened window, by entering your email, ask the system to send you the login link again. If the entered information is correct, the relevant link will be sent to your email address. By clicking on the link in the email, you can set a new password for yourself. After that, you will be able to enter your account in the GH-index system with the username and password you have defined for yourself.
Normally, there is no need to send such a request because the system updates the statistics regularly and every few days. In any case, if you want your scientific statistics to be updated, Click on your name to open your profile window. At the top right, click the blue update button. Or You can fix it by going to the login section and clicking on request update. Your information will be updated in the GH-index system within a maximum of 3 working days.
Please note that the articles that are members of the ResearcherID profile, but are not part of the WoS Core Collection, are not included in the calculations of the GH-index system and even the boundaries of ISI.
Please note that anyone can include any article they want in their ResearcherID profile (even an article that has nothing to do with ISI) and the ResearcherID system does not have a problem with this, but in its calculations, it only includes those that are in the WoS Core Collection (Same as the GH-index system).
It is suggested to use the method of searching and then adding articles instead of manually entering articles (or importing). That is, first find the article in WoS Core Collection and then add it to your profile in ResearcherID.
Please note that all of your WoS articles come from two sources. One is your Publons profile, which is manually updated by you, and the other is the WoS database itself
That is, your ResearcherID and ORCID identifiers are searched in WoS and the extracted articles are collected with the articles obtained from Publons. Most of the new journals receive and register at least the ORCID ID for each author, so a direct search in WoS also provides up-to-date results.
Thus, the coverage of the GH-index system is more than Publons and WoS alone, and the articles of the GH-index system are more complete than both.
